Seiko 2013 Monster blue SRP453
The Seiko Superior SRP453 is a Limited Edition dive watch celebrating 100 years of Seiko Watchmaking.
The limited edition SRP453 diver features a high-grade, blue polymer case guard, a 45mm stainless steel case (with crown), a blue uni-directional rotating bezel, lumibrite filled goldtone hands, a blue gradient dial with lumibrite filled hour markers, day and date window, and a goldtone offset crown at 4:00. This is one of the 1300 pieces made. However, the watches are not numbered.
The watch is powered by a new 24-jewel caliber 4R36 movement which now can be hacked and hand wound. Hacking is handy for synchronizing the watch with another timepiece. Just unscrew the crown. Pull it out to the 2nd position and the second hand will stop while you set the time. Hand winding lets you power up the watch manually after it has sat unworn for a few days. This new movement also provides improved accuracy for more precise timekeeping.
The powerful Seiko LumiBrite luminescent material is used to give you the same brilliant glowing properties that made the Orange Monster such a huge worldwide phenomenon. It glows with shade of blue-green. It is an awesome sight in the dark after charging it with a bright light source. You will also notice a goldtone machined crown that is easy to grip an offset at 4:00 for ease of use and greater comfort on your wrist.
Lug width is 20mm. Case size is approximately 42.3mm without the crown. Features a Hardlex mineral crystal. A concave blue PVD dive bezel helps protect the crystal. Comes on a blue Seiko rubber dive strap with a buckle clasp. Solid screw-in case back. Water resistant to 200 meters.
